Grateful

Almost every Thursday afternoon for the last six years I've had the pleasure and privilege of painting with three smart, creative, fun women. What a blessing!

Not only did this time provide a structure to do the work--which was especially critical as I juggled work and life--but provided a collective intelligence for the art we were all making. It was a safe environment for experimentation and deep, thoughtful critique. My painting has improved and grown through these Thursday afternoons and the occasional "retreats" when we spent a day or two eating, drinking, and breathing art. Painting in isolation in my studio (with the music blaring) is essential, but having the support to problem-solve and chase away the insecurities with these fine friends is a gift and I am eternally thankful.
